So Many Phone Calls

I can go a week with no phone calls — yes, lots of texts, Facebook messages and emails, but no actual calls.

Today made up for that.

Call # 1 – my friend in Italy this morning calling me back.

Call # 2 — my co-author about a reviewer problem.

Call # 3 – my mother calling to verify her great grandson’s address.

Call # 4 – my hiking buddy calling to say she can’t hike.

Call # 5 – my beach house neighbor calling to ask to borrow my garbage cans.

Call # 6 – my Baltimore daughter calling because I asked her to.

I am exhausted! Who knew that talking on the phone could be so much work?

This might be the shortest blog post ever. It’s been a physical day, between cutting the last of my hedge, stuffing two green cans, shopping for tea cups, practicing my chorus songs, doing my Zumba class, some light vacuuming, and all that talking!

Blah, blah, blah!  Talk, talk, talk.  I love texting. It’s so efficient. Facebook messages are a little less efficient because you have to go through Facebook.  Email is okay if you remember to check it.

I like phone calls, but not six in a row. Too many.  Too often.

Texting is king.
